Fouls and Misconduct - How to see it, how to call it, how to punish it. In-service Clinic for April 22, 2010
The monthly in-service meeting (Thursday, April 22) is designed for referees of all ages refereeing all levels. The topic will be FOULS AND MISCONDUCT - HOW TO SEE IT, HOW TO CALL IT. We will discuss examples of fouls from all levels of the game from U-10 through Adult, how to take steps to assure that you SEE the offense, and how to tell an ordinary foul from misconduct (yellow or red cards).
There will also be an open discussion of your questions -- plays, incidents, and just any old question.
This month's class is number 2370-IS. You can sign up for classes on the web at www.gareferees.com. Although you may attend as a "walk-up", the class size will be limited, so advance registration is suggested.
In-service clinics are held monthly, around the middle of the month, on a Wednesday or Thursday evening. All clinics will be held at the Georgia Soccer Office, 2323 Perimeter
Park Drive, Atlanta, GA 30341, and will run from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
All referees are encouraged to attend any time, but the clinics will be designed for specific audiences
IS-AD clinics will be designed for referees working higher-level matches, such as Professional, Amateur, and U-17+ competitive.
IS-IN clinics will be designed for referees working at the intermediate level, such as U-14 through U-19.
IS-YT clinics will be designed for youth referees working primarily at the U-14 and younger age groups.
IS clinics will address issues for referees at ALL levels.
A reminder: A local club or league can always request an in-service clinic at any time at the www.gareferees.com website.
